Maternity outerwear

Chances are, if you are in your first or second trimester, you will need a maternity coat to get you through our cold Canadian winters. Lucky for you, there are many stylish and practical ones to choose from. Not so 12 years ago when wearing your partner’s MEC jacket was as fashion forward as it got. Here are a few of our favourite maternity coats for you and your bump…

Bridge the Bump

Winner of Dream funded: Let the Crowd Decide, this Canadian product was designed by Freda Langelo and Danielle Tchao . The sister’s-in-law created a coat extension that can be worn over a pregnant belly or a baby in a carrier. The products can be purchased in 6 different colours, are water and wind proof and provide exceptional warmth. You can use the adaptor with multiple coats so both parents can take turns. Just brilliant!
